Fluid Viscous Damping: Uses, Benefits and Methods of Implementation

On December 16th, during a ceremony organized by the U.A.E chapter of the Institute of Structural Engineers (IstructE), our Technical Director Mr. Nikos Tanteles was honored for a presentation he had given to the Institute earlier in the year. The presentation was titled “Fluid Viscous Damping: Uses, Benefits and Methods of Implementation” and it aimed to transfer knowledge on the optimization of building structures using fluid viscous damping, developed originally in the aerospace and defense industries. Foster International is the Middle East representative of Taylor Devices U.S.A who are pioneers in vibration and shock control.
